Hmm, I think Lisa and I might have you beat — we caught a stirring 24 seconds of Obama’s speech, then watched a Netflix dvd of Curb Your Enthusiasm, and then went to sleep.
Me neither.
What, there’s a convention on?
Is it Shriners or aluminum siding salesmen?
I made it through Kennedy and then had to deal with a flooding problem. I suppose the heavy rain saved me sitting through Dean and Gephardt. Tried to watch Teresa, but fell asleep ten minutes in.
You missed a great speech by Barack Obama. The highight:
“…There
Jealous? Not hardly, Jeff. I went to sleep too. Watching the Conventions only reminds me that the many of the m-m-millions of dollars being spent on their self-congratulatory lovefest are TAXPAYER dollars.
You just don’t want to admit that Obama’s speech was GREAT. You’d rather plead ignorance than have something nice to say about a Democrat.
David: Oh, voting for the candidate isn’t enough for you, eh? Jeesh.
hey ed, you could have watched the convention to get your Larry David fix. He was popping up on the screen every 10 minutes.
“So have you seen Spider-Man 2 yet?”
“No, I haven’t.”
“YOU JUST DON’T WANNA ADMIT THAT TOBEY IS AWESOME!!!”
Mr. Obama was damn good. Even Mike Ditka couldn’t beat that guy.
Ted Kennedy was drunk and hilarious. If I were him, I wouldn’t be making jokes about throwing people into bodies of water.
Teresa was weird, weird, weird.
There was actually some good politics and good entertainment there.
I’ve dedicated Dem Convention week to re-reading the Harry Potter books. The Rep Convention week will be allocated to Horatio Hornblower.
