I listen to Howard nearly every day and I agree with him with regard to Freedom of Speech and perhaps even his conspriacy theory to get him off the air. The War on Terror is more important to me, and I am voting for President Bush in November no ifs, ands or buts about it.

    Wow, his website…..woowee.
Just like he has interns and fake calls planted, I wouldn’t bet against those postings on the web site being fake.
I tell you what though- this post affirms just why we HAVE to get Stern off the air.
    Look at this stupidity:

I live in Whitehall, Pa.,” wrote one listener. “I’m a 34-year-old white-collar worker and never registered to vote. Because of you, I registered

A third correspondent echoed the sentiment: “I have been a fan for a very long time, but I am now starting to listen to the show more carefully. Howard is saying things about our government that EVERY voter in America needs to hear about…. I can’t wait for November to vote Bush and his regime out
I’m sorry, but the mere idea, the remotest prospect of the most important election in decades being influenced by a band of slack jaw losers taking dictation from an ignorant potty-mouthed self promoter scares the hell outta me. We’re better off not having them vote. You’re 34 years old and couldn’t be bothered to vote before? F**K you. We’ll get by just fine without your vote. Stern says things everyone needs to hear? Bite me. Get a few IQ points and we can discuss this again.
One of the responsibilities of being a citizen is to cast INFORMED votes. These idiots are reducing Democracy to American-Idol style idiocy. Sorry if I come off as a snob, but hell yes! I make sure I try to be informed about the issues. I make sure I vote every year. I damn well do resent these idiots who will be staggering to the polls yelling Baba Booey for the first time making a mockery of things that us responsible people are serious about.
But I shouldn’t worry. His influence is generally overblown, mostly by sycophants and useful fools.

informed voters? I agree, so let’s go and ban all those people from voting who think there’s a link between 9/11 and Iraq.
    Happy voting!

Ok Franky, as long as we also ban those who claim Bush said the Iraq threat was imminent, and those who claimed Bush cited Nigerian Yellowcake in the SOTU speech
    Happy voting!

and let’s not forget the voters who still spew “Bush was SELECTED not ELECTED”, let’s get rid of them as well, because to believe that you have to be a complete and total idiot, right Franky?

All sound like good ideas to me.
Oh and we definitely get rid of the people who believe that Iraqis were on the plane on 9/11 (if we keep going like this, it looks like GOP will be forced to select Roy Brown for its candidate in November, and it looks like not one FNC viewer will get the chance to cast his vote).
Yep, I definitely like this idea more and more Trump.
By the way, Hen sorry you won’t be voting in November, but Trump made the rules not me.
    Happy voting!!!

I have a really hard time believing that people who listen to Howard Stern would EVER vote.
They will do everything they possibly can, whether it be calling his show, sending him e-mails, posting at his site, or anything else to get HOWARD’S attention.
These people are usually referred to as “Attention Whores”.
I believe that Mr. Stern has been persecuted by the FCC.
I believe that Mr. Stern has been made an example of by the FCC.
I believe that the First Amendment must be an absolute.
I happen to think that Mr. Stern’s show is crap, but he has a constitutional right to sell his crap to anyone who will buy it.
I also believe that Mr. Stern’s show attracts pathetic, juvenile losers.
If he was at all funny, my opinion about his listeners might change.
To think that Howard’s listeners could make a difference in any election is boolsheet of the purest ray serene.

I’m not sure if Stern’s listeners will make a difference, and as someone else pointed out he did go against Hilary and came down on the wrong side of that one.
What might make a difference is this very real vendetta being pursued by the FCC against him. If his listeners think the government is behind a campaign to drive him off the air with inappropriate and selective fining, that might encourage them to vote.

if you want to go down this road Franky, it looks to me like Bush wins the election handily, as there really are no informed democrats around. They all drank the DNC Talking points coolaid.
Thanks for giving us the election! Not that we needed your help anyway…

This disqualifies all the eco-nuts who believe in “The Day After Tomorrow” and “Farenheit 9/11”

    Shark,
I realise the discussion is about being informed and not being blind, but it wasn’t me that began the thread, rather Trump.
Regarding your larger point: the repubs are screwed if it comes down to being informed. Screwed. The only reason we got in to this war was misinformation, and if it was widely known how we got such misinformation (removing all filters on info, so taking info that at face-value was wrong and then adding to the stockpile of evidence) i think Bush would get kicked out so quick.
it’s a shame kerry is such a douche, but I’m now firmly in the anyone but Bush camp.

    Franky,
The ice is melting under your feet even as we speak. But, even now, to claim that Iraq has no connection to 9-11 is pure fantasy. Bin Laden cited the troops in SA and the sanctions against Iraq as his principle reasons for declaring jihad against the US in his 1998 fatwah.
Guess you didn’t read about that in the talking points memo.

    Reid,
Oh dear this is really embarrassing. We’re in control of the country for a year and the best you can do is Bin Laden’s claimed support for the Iraqi people AGAINST the US in a fatwa in 1998. He didn’t support Saddam as everyone now knows and everyone who had read beyond an article in the Weekly Standard knew for the past decade, but he opposed the US whereever he saw them in the Mid’East. Secular government and mad funsamentalists. Oh yes, I see the connection now.
I guess someone won’t be voting this November.

The truth is there is the Howard demographic that cannot so easily be seen. But they will be seen on election day mark my words!!! Or rather Howard’s words!
