Yes, and while there come to the Digital Democracy Teach-In, which groovy name and all should be interesting and useful.
Disclosure: I’ve helped a bit with the planning of the event. As a matter of fact, last week D. Weinberger and I discussed your Sunday session at B’con as a model for one segment of the program.

I know two guys who are toying with a tech blog. They have an email type newsletter right now but want more. They want to go to etech. I think it’s good for them they have a lot to learn. I hate conferences NAB is the only one I go to every year. You have a successful blog why would you need to go? What is it you can learn by going? Not to slight the conference at all but I’m wondering why you think you need to go.

Why go to conferences? Exactly because I blog — I love meeting the cool people I know as blogs in the flesh.
A friend of mine with two artificial hips calls blogs “prosthetic personalities” … think really powerful ears and vocal chords and a long arm for shaking hands. So it feels nice to take the prosthesis off sometimes.
