: Jim Romenesko’s great media weblog was called MediaNews … until Dean Singleton’s MediaNews empirelette complained. Singleton’s barristers demanded a space between Media and News. Instead, Poynter — Romensko’s boss — did the smart thing and changed the name of the weblog to … Romenesko. He’s the brand. And that, in the end, is the real power of weblogs in media: they brand their writers.
