You are probably deserving of respect as a writer and TV personality. Your participation in this attack (5 on 1, no rules of panel behavior, no prior research, none of the attackers had even read the book) is wholly unprofessional. I’m all for debate and spirited, intellectual engagement and verbal disagreement, but this was a simple example of an ideological ambush. You should apologize to your blog readers and to Mr. Goldberg for being duped into participating and contributing to the cacophony, masquerading as adult behavior. I’m not familiar with the good work you’ve done and, frankly, I’m not interested in knowing more about your views.
