Salam
: Commenter CharlesWT tells us that Salam Pax is back at this blog. But, once again, we need to wonder about the identity; there’s no link to this from his old blog, only an odd link to something else.
The media pundit's pundit. Written by NYC insider Jeff Jarvis, BuzzMachine covers news, media, journalism, and politics.
But, once again, we need to wonder about the identity
Glad to see I’m not the only one thinking that.
plaasjaapie: “A few days ago I looked in on dear_raed.blogspot.com and saw that Salam Pax had been there, but hadn’t posted. On a whim I emailed him asking what he had been up to and he sent me the link to his new blog.” Salam Pax is back…
I don’t understand this identity question. It reads like Salam Pax? It is Salam Pax. Geez. The guy has a rather unique voice.
Should you want to find your way there on your own:
Go to old blog.
See last entry, which is only a dot. Click on dot.
This takes you to a Dutch group blog. Scroll down to one of Salam’s diary entry listings. Click.
At end of the diary post you’ll see an URL.
Copy and paste this URL into your address bar.
Hey, presto!
Achtung! Change in directions.
On that Dutch blog:
First click Archive and then Click August 14-19
And from there scroll down to a diary listing.
Tilli: I’m eager to re-create what you did but can’t; no Aug 14-19 archive. I’d followed that dot link too but hit a deadend. I hope Salam’s back; just want to confirm it’s not someone impersonating him. I also note that he changed his blog email to gmail. But I will stop the Salam archeology there.
He is using the same blogger username and has his new blogger profile switched on. Click on “about me/view my complete profile” in the new blog. Scroll down to the bottom of the profile. The new blogger profiles automagically show blogs belonging to a blogger user name. The authentic original url is there.
Unless someone has hacked his blogger password and can do sexy in a flak jacket, it is him.
(btw ~ you are right to be cautious and yes he has a new email address, which appears in both blogs).
