Ooh. Nothing like serious media criticism.
The Buzzmachine formula is crystal-clear: exceed any reasonable fair use and plagiarize the work of others via cut and paste, add some snarky comment, and then proclaim yourself King of All Bloggers.

Once again, Jarvis’ knickers are twisted at the thought that a media type will be discouraged from using words that Jarvis won’t allow on his blog.
And Jarvis still doesn’t care about the agency that regulates political speech by the rest of us.

When I was a kid, we had 3 TV stations. Now, we have 150 or so cable channels, but they’re pretty much all owned by about 5 companies. In terms of diversity of viewpoint, this is not an improvement.
I’m not wild about government regulation of content. (That’s an understatement.) But government limits on ownership? That I could get behind. Because what we’ve got right now hovers somewhere between an oligopoly, a monopoly and a cartel, three words that really DO make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. And not in a good way.
