Was the awards show even on TV? From the link it doesn’t seem like it was, so how is that so brilliant? It’s not live, it’s not being broadcast to anyone besides those in the room, and that speech isn’t regulated by the FCC.

Hey, bozos, the “brilliant” is a reference to Bono’s “effing brilliant” in his Golden Globes acceptance speech that the FCC found to be profane.

I’d say immature more than pathetic.
But unfortunately, necessary. The FCC must be stopped. Let them take their graft from media companies looking for sweet spectrum deals, let them sit there and waste valuable taxpayer dollars and oxygen, like good politicians.
Do NOT let them usurp the power of the market, do not let them succeed in their powergrab. -

Uh Jeff, the FCC found Bono’s Effing Brilliant to be NOT profane. I believe they said used as an adjective it was fine. They might have subsequently backtracked on that, but since it doesn’t affect my life….

I’ve been living under the rock where all we hear about is how Stern is going to quit….2 months ago…and waiting. I’m sorry if you feel a need to resort to insults. Before you became obsessed with Stern, this site was worth occasionally coming to. Consider this one guy who will stop clicking your url.

I can’t say I feel sorry for people who believe everything they hear or read including the tirades and rants of Howard Stern. I love Howard but I know how to think and analyse independantly of what Howard says. When Howard talks you need to listen closely to hear what is not being said, and between what is bravado and what is possible. I’m not going to spell it out for you. I figure people who complain about this just never heard him hawk any wares back in the day like the ’94 New Years Rotten Eve! Let’s focus on the important things that Howard rants about for example the hypocracy and lies of the Bush administration which few leftists have such a grand pulpit for and which can be heard over the foaming at the mouth oxycontin swigging sycophantic preenings of the right wing media boyz like Limbaugh, Hannity, and O’Reilly!
