My goals for Etech

My goals for Etech
: I’ll start the list here:

1. To have a meal with Joi Ito. If you’re anybody, you have.

2. To have a meal with Pedram because he promises good Persian fare.

3. To finally meet and drink with my good buddy Matt Welch. When I started blogging, Matt was the first guy to befriend and support me via link; he is my heroin dealer.

Oh, yeah, to have big thoughts, too.

    Jeff,
I’m posting in yours and Doc Searls’ blogs about a fabulous San Diego restaurant I ate at the night that the San Diego fires began to spread (hence I never blogged it).
It’s called Pomegrante, a Russian-Georgian restaurant, 2302 El Cajon Blvd. More details about it on my blog. You have (nearly) no choice in the matter. You must go there. Doc Searls has also been told this. Resistance is futile. You will thank me.
(my handwritten comment is on the ceiling kinda close to the kitchen.. it’s got the “unpronounceable food names” bit in it.)
    Bon appetit,
    Susan

    Big thoughts suggestions:
    1) A World Without Dictators — in your/my lifetime.
    2) A NATO Human Rights Enforcement Group, to increase international democracy power to use military force against dictators who are violating human rights, especially the free speech/ free press right to express disagreement — more important than elections (like Arafat’s; when was that?)
    3) Tax Loans to replace gov’t benefits with gov’t loans, to individual taxpayers — and repaid with the taxes, plus a small surtax. Replace “other people’s money” with your own money, over time.

Blogs can help any and all of these big things.

    Mr. Jarvis,
It sounds like a good event. However, I do not expect the discussion to involve much honest “heckling” of those in Blogaria who have been So wrong and help waste So much Money… Money from those LEAST capable of affording to lose more than $40-something MILLION USD, from what I have gathered.
Btw, “: Om sees danger in the return to hype and parties in the land of tech.” I’m afraid eTech sounds like it’s going to be more hype and party than tough questions follewed by honest answers, to me.
    Signed,
    Nobody (apparently, since I’ve not had dinner with Mr. Ito)-;
