Bad lead award
: Reuters needs editors, judging from this lead that got through to the wires:

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Michael Jackson is a lover, not a fighter, so as his attorneys traded jabs with prosecutors on Friday over charges that he molested a young boy, the self-declared “King of Pop” prepared for a party in his honor.
Well, whether he is a lover is, in a matter of (inappropriate) speaking, what this is about, isn’t it?
Get me rewrite….
I believe he’s quoting the MJ/Paul McCartney duet, “The Girl Is Mine.” Quite the hip reference, huh? Not to mention that Jackson and McCartney have been on the outs for years over the whole Beatles catalog thing.
Er, and the obvious truth-in-advertising issues raised by the title.

A Hollywood And Crime segment included a quoted statement from Michael Jackson’s former wife(?),
Lisa Marie Presley..and I quote..”the sex was so good, it made me gasp”.
I think the gasp was probably an involuntary reaction to seeing Michael’s face so up close and personal.
