Allow me to brag
: Candice Bergen is on Will & Grace tomorrow.
I’ll use any excuse to brag and so this reminds me of the time I was mentioned on Murphy Brown. Not long after having given the show a bad review (for its later, sadder days), a network executive on the show said, and I quote, “that Jeff Jarvis, he’s a bottomless pit of hate.”
One of my prouder moments!
I wish somebody would call me a bottomless pit of hate.
I mean, someone besides my wife.
LOL.
My wife hates me too. By the way, Jeff, have you been following the latest flare-up of the Howard Stern-“I-Man” feud?
That is indeed something to be proud of. :-)
Murphy Brown was at its peak when we left the States, so we only remember it when it was good. Even today, years after we last saw an episode, we refer to Murphy’s ever changing secretaries. And, of course, to Eldon. Anyone who comes in to work on our house is compared to Eldon.
So was she madder at you or Dan Quayle, Jeff?
Jeff, What are the chances of you having that scene on tape, transfering it to a video file, and posting it on your weblog? That would be great!
Hey, better than what The O.C. did to Tom Shales. They named an incontinent hospital patient after him, after he panned the show.
