: A weblogger just out of NYU J-school wants a job.
Yeah? Well, the line forms behind *me,* sucker.
So, Jeff, why weren’t you pimping me when I was looking for a job? Where’s the love, man, where’s the love?
That’s right, I am looking for a media/journalism job.
I’ve been doing journalism for several years and would love nothing more than to do journalism for your newscast, newspaper, magazine, or website. I can bring a youthful and enthusiastic exuberance to your workplace along with a dedication to getting the job done.
Plus, I can bring the additional skills that have come from almost 5 years of blogging!

Why does the phrase “doing journalism” sound like doing time or doing drugs? There must be a better way to word that.
I see the phrase more of a way to explain the commitment I have to journalism. I could have said “I work in a journalism job” or “Journalism is a hobby of mine,” but its not the same thing.
