: FoxNews is reportedly [via the Hollywood Reporter, Zap2It, and IWantMedia] looking to hire Dennis Miller to give his acidic, reference-packed rants. Good idea.
: I’m depressed that CNN just hired Soledad O’Brien for its morning show. She is the news queen of geekdom (thanks to her MSNBC time on the tech show The Site). She’s smart, charming, beautiful, approachable. She was the reason to watch Weekend Today. Now I won’t see her anymore.
Re: Soledad O’Brien. Bummer! She has been great for The Today Show programming juggernaut. I guess she couldn’t afford to wait for Katie to retire or assume the actual Throne (whatever that might be), and I don’t blame her for moving on, in that regard.
I wish we could have voted on whom to send to CNN. My vote would have been for Ann Curry.
And, finally, NBC loses one of the best names in broadcast news. (But they still have Hoda Kotbe, and that counts for a lot!)
Yeah, Dennis Miller rules! I’ve often wondered what it would take to get him to run for office, say US Senator from California. Now that would be awesome! I bet he’d beat Boxer and/or Feinstein no problem.
Looks like Soledad got herself quite a contract for making the move!
