Vlogging again

Vlogging again

: I just put up a new vlog I made to demonstrate citizens’ TV for the Radio Television News Directors Association. I was invited to be on a panel at their Vegas confab but had a conflict and suggested blogcasting and vlogging (it is a TV conference, after all). To any who’ve been subjected to my blatherings on ciitzens’ media and exploding TV and all that, there’s nothing new here but it’s a brief demo. I hadn’t used Visual Communicator since I made these Fred Flintstone attempts more than two years ago. I had problems getting the newest version to work on my Bedrock laptop but the prior version works well; it is a neat tool. Serious Magic, creator of the software, say they will have the lite VlogIt version out in a few weeks.

Jeff, hope you don’t mind this plug for a free vlogging workshop I am helping teach:
If anyone is interested in learning to make a free vlog—including free hosting for the video using the internet archive as a host—-and you live in the New York City area, come to this vlogging workshop: It takes place over the course of two afternoons, April 16 and May 1, at Fluxfactory, an arts nonprofit in Queens. All you need is a wifi enabled laptop and a camera that can shoot video (I use a 300$ still camera that shoots video too). Vlogging is powerful, fun, and not that hard. Come on down for a vlogalicious free learning experience.

    Hi Jeff,
Is vlog going to be the new noun for video blog post?
For people who do not know what blogging is, let alone video blogging, I’ve been calling these video posts on blogs, ‘video blog posts.’
Some people say that they are going to make a new video blog. What they really mean is that they are going to make a new video blog post.
Aren’t we still at the early stage of this where we need to use full words instead of acronyms?
