Other reasons to have faith in the people.
I have no idea who Fox are but why I have faith in people is seeing the USA pledging $350 million to the disaster, and then Japan seeing that $350 million and raising it by another $150 million. (Though I’d have more faith if the Irish govt – of one of the richest countries in Europe – gave more than a measly 10 million euros.) -

Ya know, the heading on this post revealed to me something about all the posts I’ve read here over the months that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. I even saw it the two times I saw you on TV. (It was CNN, right?)
Admist all the garbage out there, right here, in the world, and a lot of it rightly the subjects you write about, you remain, or at least you seem to, optimistic and cheerful. I have been appreciating that without quite noticing it after reading so many other bloggers decidedly unoptimistic, uncheerful, and ungenerous. They drive me back here sometimes, for something not only informative, but also constructive in its generosity of spirit.
