The veep-off

The veep-off

: I’m supposed to be on CNBC later today with fellow bloggers in a run-up to the veep debate. Note that bloggers are now regulars on bookers’ lists. That’s good (I think). I’ll give you details if it happens later.

In the meantime, tell me what you think about the veep-off…

    Hmmm, looks like I need to get more popular =)

    Tonight’s debate is going to consist of a fact-filled but cynical Dick Cheney arguing (with some cheap shots towards Kerry) for GWB, while Edwards will smile and repeatedly talk about Haliburton, wrong course, maybe some chanelling of the dead, GWB sucks, blah…blah…blah.
    It won’t do much for the election, but it should be entertaining to watch.

    Like Mike says, entertaining but inconsequential.
    One possible short-term result: Edwards does well, and is allowed back in the spotlight, temporarily.

    Is it fair to say that given his professional background, Edwards is a master-debater???? HAHHAHAHAHAH! Sorry couldn’t resist.

    Say master-debater ten times fast.
    Sorry, *I* couldn’t resist. :p

    Jeff = Enjoy the debate. I think of it as The Breck Girl meets The Downsizer. Edwards is so pretty (he glows) and Cheney is such the corporate executioner, just seeing him makes me think pink slip, and I don’t mean lingerie.
    I’ll be watching it at a bar in Cambridge, direct from the People’s Republic of Massachusetts as some call like to call it.
    Cheers = H

    Do you guys think Cheney will pull his “If you vote for Kerry you will be killed by terrorists” bit? He caught a lot of shit for it last time around…

    I was just talking with a friend about hitting bars during the election season this year – apparently it was a decently popular thing to do in 2000, and I’m guessing that November 3 might end up being hangover day…. I wonder if Friday Night Debates will become something amusing at your local brewpub. Okay, probably not if there are baseball playoffs going on..
