The right relationship to weblogs

: Editors Weblog reports that NEWS, a new free tabloid from Handelsblatt in Frankfurt, is devoting a page a day to quoting weblogs on the news. This PDF includes blog quotes on one issue: Turkey in the EU.

This is exactly the relationship big media should have to blogs: Instead of blogging themselves, they should be quoting the people who now, at last, have access to printing presses of their own.

    As you can see, the “hate campaign” still is running. Led by blogging journalists, by the way. Who tend to forget their professional code of behavior when it comes to unfounded accusations and false arguments.
    NEWS must be doing something right, then – and almost every blogger who actually got into print was happy about it :)
