I saw you on TV, and I used to blog, long ago, before blogging was named.
I am a scholar of sorts and my expertise is on revolutions.
I have been rereading a book called ” General Idea of the Revolution, by Proudhon, I believe you can still get this on the web, I have seen his other books there.
What I want to relate here is on page. 35,, He speaks of why and how the revolution will be successful. I believe this will be familier to you.
1. “to declare the state of siege general, absolute, and for an unlimited time;”
Gingrich stated the other day on TV this seige will go on till 2070
2. To decree the deportation beyone the seas of a hundred thousand individuals.
illegal immigrant deportation?
3. To double the effective strength of the army, and to keep it constantly on a war footing;
4. To increase the garrisons and the police, to arm all the fortressed, to build in each district a strong castle, to interest the military in the reaction, by making the army an endowed and ennobled caste, which can partly recruit itself;
and it goes on, you might want to pick up this book and read it, for you will see we are indeed within a revolution,within a revolution, only many do not know it yet.
One revolution is Bush’s and the other is the people’s revolution, we are called reactionaries.
Another book that clearly states the steps to a despotic state is Democracy in America, by deTocqueville, he spreads his statements about despotism all over the book,one sentence is “all long wars lead to a despotic state.”I paraphrase.

One more comment, on page 32,of Proudhon “All the regular methods of gov’t having failed,, ( to stop a revolution, from the people ) your further policy is comprised on one word;FORCE.”I wonder if that is to come around this next election?
Bush has these books, I gave them to Clinton with my own interpretation, Bush inherited them without my permission.
I think you will find this quite interesting to our times,, if you connect the dots.
