I’d pay to see Michael Moore in a burnous

: When Michael Moore and Saudis fight, it’s hard to know whom to root for. Is it wrong to just stand back and let them beat each other up?

In the Telegraph, a Saudi diplomat slaps back at Moore:

‘Michael Moore made a request to visit Saudi Arabia and we granted him a visa, but he never came,’ said Prince Turki in an interview with The Telegraph. ‘He missed an important opportunity to find out key facts. In my opinion he should have made every effort to go to a country he has taken to task so heavily in his film.’

Oh, wouldn’t have that been fun: Moore stalking Saudi princes.

Could the Saudis behead someone with no neck?

Hum, maybe contract it out to a Japanese whaling firm.

hmmm you are entitled to your opinion of course but Jeff I’d rather come down on the side of Satan before I stick up for the House Of Saud. COnsidering the likes of Prince Bandar have funded madrase’s (sp?) that teach hatred of the Jews, the Christian, the Hindus don’t you think the Saudi Royals should first clean up their own mess before they go accusing Moore of anything.
For some reason you hate Michael Moore and once again you are entitled to your opinion but you really might want to think hard before jumping into bed with the Saudi Royals.
    my 2 cents.

    David,
You misunderstand. Today is Michael Moore-Hate day. So there were 15 Saudis on the planes 9/11, and that’s what makes them just as bad as Michael Moore.

I see nothing wrong with tying their tails together and throwing them over a clothes line.
Do people today still say “clothes line”?

Walt – Yes. As a matter of fact Barbra Streisand suggested that in order to conserve energy we should use clothes lines as opposed to dryers. Of course, her words were hard to hear due to the giant echo of her dictating to her staff in her 20,000 sq ft beachside mansion for her and her husband. Ah well…

Frankly Franky every day is Michael Moore hate day for Mr. Jarvis. I just find it odd that he’d rather defend the Saudi Royals who are the reason for the rise and spread wahabism (sp?) all over the world, who also have telethons for suicide bombers, and treat their people almost as bad as Saddam did including forcing little girls back into a burning school…and these are the people Jeff would like to defend. More power to him it’s his blog he can do what he likes.

Jeff-O has a big streak of envy for Moore that makes him irrational to the point where he cheers for the funders of 9/11 rather than a great American. Why do you hate America, Jeff?

From david who takes Jeff’s “Is it wrong to just stand back and let them beat each other up?” as “defending” the Saudis to Bombo’s anencephalitic droolings, it’s clearly Stupid Troll Day on Buzzmachine!

What Andrea said. What is it with the Cult of Moore? If someone does not go ga-ga over their boy it is automatically an attack?

And david? There is a huge difference between contempt and “hatred.” And where the hell did Jeff jump into bed with anybody in that post?

That’s funny. Wonder why he wouldn’t go?
David, Bombo, read the post. There’s no defense of the Saudis there.

Come on, those madrasses, it’s all just propaganda. You know, a mixture of facts taken completely out of context, a few lies for good measure, some conspiracy theories about some enemy group that controls the US at the highest levels . . . No problem, right?
Hey, seen Michael Moore’s movie yet? I hear it’s pretty good.

Considering the Saudis have killed over 3,000 Americans I’d say they are a lot more odious than Michael Moore.

When asked which side he wanted to prevail in the Iraq-Iran War, Henry Kissinger reportedly said, “Ideally, they’ll both lose.” That’s how I feel about Michael Moore vs. Saudi Arabia.

Oliver, the Saudi government nor the Saudi people were the masterminds of 9/11. 19 Islamic terrorists of which 11 happended to be Saudis are responsible for 9/11. Extrapolating that they represented the Saudi government or populace is not correct. I’m not defending the poor choice the Saudis have made in appeasing rabid religious fundamentalists. You can’t paint all Saudis with one brushstroke as evil.

no one is accusing all Saudis of such things…only the ROYAL SCUMBAGS who will do anything to stay in power.

Sometimes, David, the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t. Replacing the Saudi royals with fundamentalists, a very possible scenerio, isn’t in our or the world’s oil consumer’s best interests either.

Hoping both groups destroy each other is hopping in bed with the Saudis?
The supreme irony is Michael Moore would be first in line screaming Blood for Oil if we went after the Royal family. That’s the way shiftless anti-americanism works. It allows one to criticize all actions and make alternative suggestions that one would have criticized as well had the suggestion be taken up.
