But, like advertising itself, it’s really about sex: National Orgasm Week, hot-chick hitchhikers in wet t-shirts, Victoria Secret’s college hottie-wear, TV cameraman hires hooker in TV van, Molson’s pick-up-chick advice, hot marketing director poses in Playboy to get free ink, Christina Aquilera makes shoes hot. Excuse me while I go take a cold shower.

Ha! Damn, Jeff, when you roll it all up like that, it sounds like a porn site:-) I guess that why the site I seem to trade most links with lately is Fleshbot! And as you say, it is all about sex. After all, both advertising and porn are all about stimulating a “reaction” in people and getting them to open up their wallets.
Speaking of sex and cash, Steve, have you seen my “Sex & Cash Theory” yet?
……So am I the only one here who’s stopped reading adrants due to high sex irrelevant-to-advertising content? My co-workers were beginning to think I’m a perv when all those boobie pictures danced across my screen. I’d say this at adrants but the comments keep crashing my browser.
I’ve stopped reading it too. I can’t deal with the porno-feel of the site. The massive amounts of ads, the crappy loading of the page, and the total irrelevant T&A spewage all over the page has contributed to it being deleted from my bookmarks. Someone needs to get laid.
Sex does not sell. It makes pimple-faced teenage boys and men in the same mental age sit up and take notice (but not buy)… Then it gets the cheap PR when their over-sexed ads are banned and regurgiated via sites like adrants and national newspapers, so that everyone and their grandma knows about that steamy (pile of crap) ad by X brand.. But does it ever make the sales go up? Look at the Miller Light cat fight – sales plummeted. Why? Women shop.
I found the best way: reading it with news aggregator. No boobies!
I did do that for a while, but one has to click through to the boobie-site to get the links of anything he writes about. Very pointless RSS feed.
