Arrrgh, that is Sooooo addictive.. no southern states and the Dems can still win… Oooooh, if Gore had only carried Tenn then Florida wouldn’t have mattered… Arrrrgh…. I feel a tension headache coming on. ;^)

The 2000 map has the wrong electoral college totals. Result was 271-266 for Bush and 1 non-vote in DC. And FL was a red state!

This map illustrates why Edwards becomes such an attractive candidate if he can demonstrate some pulling power in the South.
A Democrat who retains Gore’s states and adds any single larger southern state, or any combination of Mississippi, Alabama or South Carolina, wins.
