I don’t want my MTV

I don’t want my MTV
: Glenn Reynolds makes his 30-second rock-the-vote video. He calls his audience stupid. Sounds like a Gore campaign.

: I was thinking of saying it sounds like (a) the Adlai Stevenson campaign or (b) the Ralph Nader campaign. But I decided this was the best punchline. What do you think?

: Dave Winer endorses Glenn’s candidacy — and Glenn’s not even running (yet).

: Update: Dave corrects me. He doesn’t endorse Glenn, just wants him to run. I’ll endorse that.

I *thought* I was saying that they were too smart to be watching MTV. Guess that didn’t work. I’d better fire my campaign manager . . . .

Hey, Adalai had a great 1952 campaign commerical, complete with animated graphics and Mel Blanc doing his Marvin the Martian voice in opposition (support) of the Stevenson campaign. Way better than anything Gore came up with in 2000. (It was on some PBS special about 10 years ago on presidential campaign commercials, so it may be lying around the Internet somewhere as well).

I didn’t endorse him. I said I’d like him to run. Our politics aren’t a match. But I would love to see him run. Really, not a joke.

But I thought Glenn announced that he will be running for the 2008 Presidential Election with Rachel Lucas as his running mate.
Glenn really should pitch his campaign at the 13-year-old bloggers since they’ll be 18-years-old in 2008.
