F***ing editors
: Ernie Miller, who organized last year’s great blog conference at the Yale Law School (by the way, how come law schools are taking the lead on weblogs, huh?) sends this amusing story, which I redact:
I am still posting on LawMeme and I recently did a short little story on the FCC decision that Bono’s use of the word “f***ing” on TV was not indecent (via BuzzMachine). The title of my post was “A F***ing Interesting Decision from the FCC”. Ironically, my use of the term “F***ing” in the title of the post was deemed unprofessional. The EIC of LawMeme demanded that I either change the title to “FCC Rules on Use of ‘F***ing'” or delete the post. Without noting any of the irony, another editor of LawMeme instead changed the title to: Bono Says “F***ing” on TV; FCC says “Ok”
Here’s his post.
