Sadly, not shocking. One of the not-so-incidental effects of the USA allying with countries is convincing them that they don’t need their own nuclear weapons. If the US looks like it’s thinking of altering or ending the Saudi relationship, this is exactly what I would expect. (I still favor breaking the relationship, but one has to consider the results.)
Yada yada. Yawn.
#2 is the only one that worries me at all. They might ally with France.
