   Thanks for the link Jeff, it is an interesting site with a terrific opportunity for an outsider to view the debate within the ex-pat Iranian community.
   I found a thread on democracy particularly interesting. I’ve noticed that discussions on democracy among people from non-democratic countries or emerging democracies all equate democracy with majority rule.
   It seems like the message that democratic rule needs to rooted in a constitution or fundamental code of invidual rights got lost along the way. “The majority rules and the minority has to lump it” is not how it is supposed to work. Democracies must protect individuals and minorities or they become authoritarian states.
   At least that’s my perception.
