I certainly hope the “investgation” includes determining the author of the allegation, with a view toward punishment if unfounded – possibly stripping of office if a church official.
Were there anything to it, why was it not raised openly long ago? Why is it being sneaked now, rather than an open accusation?
If one of the bishops has sunk to poison-pen tactics, he is not entitled to any position of authority – make him a layperson. -
The porn charge was especially misleading. From a webpage from an organization he had a peripheral and past association with to a link to a site that linked to another site that had some porn? Lame!
In that internet version of ‘6 degrees of Kevin Bacon’, few pages would pass muster. Andy Inhetko (sp) from MacUser magazine years ago did a feature showing which politicians/Christian Coalition could do the same thing.
