    There’s an H. G. Wells story– it was in one of those Strand magazine anthologies a few years back– in which he imagines the newspaper of tomorrow, full of moving images and self-updating and, in a lot of ways, just like the Web.
    Except it still has to be thrown by a paperboy onto the porch.

    Of course, the moving pictures in magical newspapers are still useless. Instead of a still shot of people milling about to no effect, you get a moving shot of people milling about to no effect.
