Almost a decade ago a senior telecom exec explained, “The media dollar will be divided into three parts. 45 cents of every dollar will go to content providers, 45 cents of every dollar will go those who serve the customer and five cents will be left for those who own the means of transmission.”
This presentation has some great insights into the content models.
But there is still another 45 cents available (of the media dollar) for the people who can crack the code on what advertising clients want from media 2.0.
I don’t think it will be more of the same “the risks are all yours” and “we’re only responsible for delivering eyeballs” mindset.
