I know you’re a journalist, and that’s some excuse for being an idiot, but you’re a day late and a dollar short.

click on the link before you start calling people idiots and end up looking like one yourself: i’m linking to the ny times page one reporting the news. that was the headline.

    Jeff’s right, Anne.
Even if he was mistaken, Erare humanem est. Shame on you for being so rude. It was uncalled for.

Also, would depend on what terrestrial time zone we’re talking about. Armstrong stepped on the moon at 2:56:15 AM (GMT) July 21, 1969.

newsdesigner, from NASA, from my link,
“At 10:56 pm EDT on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the Moon.”
EDT is Eastern Daylight Time, or most likely NYC Time. For me it was 7:56 PDT that I was outside in my backyard watching it on TV under the moon itself.
So Jeff, what you’re telling us, is that the day the Times prints something is the day that the story occurred. That’s what you’re telling us?
Come on Jeff, if you actually were a moon buff, you would have blogged this yesterday, when everyone else did. You’re just a wannabe trying to find something to blog about and you got it wrong.
I do apologize for being rude, that was uncalled for. I just can never tell which Jeff Jarvis is speaking to us. The Jeff Jarvis that claims to be an ex-member of the media or the Jeff Jarvis that claims to be a current member of the media.
It’s one of the things that makes the Jeff Jarvis show so funny.

What also makes it funny is commenters who desperately need to relax.
