Dirty old man

Dirty old man
: Just like the good old Clinton days: In the rally at which Dean endorsed Kerry, there were lots of pretty intern-aged enthusiasts behind the podium.

  • spongeworthy

That is a fine collection of quiff there. Spare a cigar?

  • Steve

    Lots? One, maybe!

  • boo

    My daughter.

  • http://brooks.spinning-ball.com Adam

He calls it “Generation Dean.” You know, the folks that send supportive emails, but didn’t actually vote in primaries.

  • Zeb Trout

Is that the Charles, Prince of Wales behind Dean? What’s he leering at?

  • Mike G

I heard Dean on NPR saying we had a choice between someone who served in Vietnam (not sure who he means there) and someone who spent those years doing something else, and we know which one’s worthy of the presidency. So apparently even Howard Dean now agrees that Howard Dean should not have been president…

  • Kenneth Starr

We must appoint a special prosecutor immediately!

  • onecent

    Very funny, Mike G.
Amazing six posts completed without Robert-Slack-Franky-Yogi-Reid’s polemics, what gives?
Anyone else notice that free speech issues vs Howard Stern, blogger topics, media topics, non-Bush politics topics and……nada from the Bush=Hitler tag team?

  • http://www.photodude.com/ Reid

Heavy on snark, light on substance. I count half a dozen male faces behind him in that picture, and seven female. Yet you title this “Dirty Old Man” in reference to Kerry, and say it’s “the good old Clinton days” again?
You’re beginnning to sound like Rush Limbaugh. With sexist comment like this, before you know it, people will once again be demanding you post your liberal credentials.

Geez, one would expect college students at a rally at George Washington University, Jeff:
Democratic Presidential candidate, Sen. John Kerry (news – web sites), D-Mass., right, and former rival Howard Dean (news – web sites), raise their arms during a rally at George Washington University in Washington Thursday, March 25, 2004. Kerry and Dean put aside their disagreements over tax cuts and the war in Iraq (news – web sites) and promised their supporters they would combine forces to help the Massachusetts senator drive President Bush (news – web sites) out of the White House. I really don’t understand the mean-spiritedness in your comments, Jeff. Must be a pisser when the rest of the world collectively rejects your worldview and decides to move on with their lives.

Ah, you’ve just proven a famous law that says all Internet discussions inevitably descend into a discussion of Hitler.
And let’s make one thing clear: one can criticize Bush without equating him with Hitler. This level of discussion is why blogs are already dead as a medium and declining in readership (check out the TruthLaidBear listings; the top blogs don’t even break 100,000 readers anymore).

  • http://www.photodude.com/ Reid

onecent: “Amazing six posts completed without Robert-Slack-Franky-Yogi-Reid’s polemics, what gives?
Ah, so I’m a leftist polemic now? Those who think I’m a blood thirsty warblogger who supported invading Iraq will get a real kick out of that. So will those who think I’m a rightist hack for insisting that Stern’s “free speech” on the radio isn’t guaranteed by the Constitution.
And keep in mind, there’s more than one Reid posting here. The Other Reid is most definitely not a leftist.
But I’m happy to keep you confused. And if there’s any doubt as to whether I am a Real Person, and not some alias for another poster, go here. I have a full name and everything, Mr. or Ms. onecent.
Yogi: “This level of discussion is why blogs are already dead as a medium and declining in readership
And, that, of course, is the reason you hang around here every day, right? To watch the death throes?

  • onecent

My apologies, Reid, I misidentified you with the tag team.

  • Doctor Slack

Prepare to be horrified, onecent. On this one, I actually agree with Reid.
In fact, who knows? Our perpetual feuding might be a cover for the fact that we’re really the same person. I’m sure you’ll get to the bottom of it…

  • http://www.punditmark.com mark

They are all white, too. Someone forgot to inform Kerry’s diversity coordinator. Shame.

  • Carl in N.H.

mark, I don’t think they are all white, but I’ll be damned if I can find one that is pretty. And they all look like squeaky-clean “Up with People” perkyzoids. (shudder)
So Jeff offers false advertising with his free ice cream; where do I go to complain ?

  • onecent

    “same person”?……nice try, Slack.
What you have failed to notice is that there is no “perpetual feuding” between us, that would imply a dialogue, an interest in the content of your posts by me. I’m not. It’s your aggressive tag team assault on others that is tiresome. You can go to every comment thread and see the pattern.

  • Doctor Slack

Amusing. I can see your reading comprehension skills are holding steady. You were better off with ignore mode, onecent. Stick with it.

  • Jack Tanner

‘there were lots of pretty intern-aged enthusiasts behind the podium. ‘
    Where ?
