Cut the crap, Kerry: Debate!

Cut the crap, Kerry: Debate!
: Edwards is, of course, itching for a one-on-one debate but on the radio this morning, Kerry’s side was still playing coy, saying a debate should include all candidates.

Crap. Don’t play with us. A lot of Americans are now trying to make an earnest and well-informed decision between these two candidates and we have the right to hear them without the distraction of the sideshow candidates.

At this stage in a campaign, nobody with, say, less than 5 percent of votes should be debating.

By agreeing to cut out Kucinich and Sharpton, Murphy said, Kerry would alienate the most liberal candidate in the race and the only remaining black candidate. Both have supporters in key Democratic constituencies.
How disingenuous can you get. Kucinich and Sharpton, the two peripheral kooks left standing only because they are too tenaciously ridiculous to leave on their own, count only for amusement value and Kerry knows it. But, then again, as Kerry is a bore, as Mark Steyn has hilariously observed, his handlers are wise to thwart any unnecessary debating until he has the nomination sown up.

Shocked! I’m SHOCKED I tell you! That pompous windbag doesn’t want to be shown as the empty windbag he is! Why…he’d have to expound on the issues instead of trying to jam up the POTUS! Yep, that snake ain’t stupid, that’s for sure.

As a hard-cory Kerry supporter, I’d like to see a one on one debate as much as anyone. But, like it or not, pissing off Sharpton is playing with fire, especially with NY coming up. And Kerry people have had a pretty good relationship with Kucinich people, who are hard-working if not numerous – why piss them off too?

Sorry, Barbara, more like playing with silly putty. Sharpton, for God’s sake, came in third, behind Kerry and Edwards, with Black voters in South Carolina. Seems a Kerry rejection is the least of his problems.

Trust me, the bad vibes won’t penetrate their tinfoil hats. Plus, Dennis has foresworn animosity with his Department of Peace initiative.

I hope everyone DEMANDING Kerry debate more remember that when GWB agrees to 1 debate, or less.
For the record: I am all for more debates, I actually watch C-Span, and enjoy it! Colin Powell’s speech at Princeton is a must see! Unfortunately they don’t have it on the streaming video on their web page, but it may be repeated over the weekend.
