Food, glorious food: Jackie, of au Currant fame, has started a food blog.
Do me a favor, folks: Leave me comments listing all the food blogs you know of.
I have my reasons.
My fav is Saute Wednesday, http://www.sautewednesday.com/ Archives say it only goes back three months, but it’s been around for 2 years at least. Really good.
Oopps, sorry, hit the post button too fast.
For other good links, hit the food timeline:
and this blog, NYC eats: http://nyc.blogs.com/eats/
Nice blog. I’ve actually bought a blogad there. Traffic not too huge but… I like it anyway.
Riverbend just started a food blog:
Is Something Burning? That would be Middle Eastern with an Iraqi spin on it.
She has it linked on her sidebar.
http://www.burkeandwells.com/ — not technically a food blog, but they write extensively about it, and with intelligence and erudition.
http://blogs.salon.com/0001399/ — the legendary Julie/Julia blog. Updates are somewhat less frequent, now that the project has actually finished.
And the always reliable http://www.google.com/search?q=food+blogs&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
The above link is for a recent metafilter post on food blogs. Don’t miss the links in the comments.
http://www.miseblog.com/ – Mise En Place
http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com/ – Tea and Biscuits Blog, one of my favorites.
Saute Wednesday, as mentioned by Mary Hodder above is most excellent.
http://www.cornichon.org/index.php – Food, Wine, travel adventures
Harry Hatchett just posted one called Daily Bread, I think.
Uh-oh, is Nick Denton thinking of doing a Food Blog, too?
Maybe he’s thinking of combining it with his sex blog.
Which foods are best suited for duel usage. Foods you can roll around in first before you eat them. Like Peanut butter. Or Nutella for upscale rolling.
Here’s a pretty good food blog I’ve come across:
Don’t be fooled by the name:
Gotta give a hearty second to NYC Eats, but I’m biased.
http://journal.cynthiachew.com/ isn’t just about food – but I’d say 80%, and she’s an Asian Australian.
Someone’s already mentioned it, but Food Blog has a pretty comprehensive list of food weblogs. Someone has also already mentioned Saute Wednesday, which also has a ton of links to food related sites.
A few of my favorites that I haven’t seen mentioned yet: In my Kitchen a “traditional” one-person food blog with outstanding photographs; Suburblicious (similar, but composed originally in French); and Purple Sunshine(Wine + food). There’s a ton more out there — I’m finding new websites every week. I tend to find them from discussions like this, or from my web-counter’s referrer logs (which is how I found this thread, though not the website).
Breckinridge Ely at Forbes.com did an article on the best food blogs. From here you can click on their roundup and they have stats too.
Metafilter did a round up back in Sept.
“what the hell _does_ a vegan eat anyway?”
